Training and Internships

Training and Internship Program

JSS Behavioral Services has openings for doctoral interns and postdoctoral residents. The primary responsibility is the provision of clinical services to children, adolescents, and their families. As such, trainees will be responsible for conducting initial diagnostic interviews; providing ongoing individual, family, and group psychotherapy; planning, administering, scoring, and interpreting various assessment measures and provide feedback to patients and their families; and participate in the autism diagnostic clinic as appropriate and needed. Trainees will see between 25 and 30 patients per week and will have some evening appointments. Administrative support for scheduling and billing is provided as well as assistance from psychometrists for psychological assessments.

The multi-disciplinary team at JSS Behavioral Services, which is comprised of clinical and school psychologists, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, licensed psychoeducational specialists, as well as those working toward independent licensure in those areas, is available for additional consultation as needed.
